Well done to all the lifters who participated in the first Canterbury Raw Champs last weekend, along with the South Island Bench and Bench Of The South.
Steve Barnes took home the Cup for best overall lifter with a score of 374.94 and a 520kg total. Steve also won the Best of The South for the best raw bench. Leighton Best won the South Island Bench Champs with 215kgs at a body weight of 93.45kgs.
Thanks to all the supporters and those who jumped in to lend a hand. It was a very busy comp and we were very, very grateful for the help, especially from those people not associated to the club, who jumped in to lend a hand.
